Just some information about me: I'm a female teenage student, and I have no professional experience in hair and makeup, so I rely mostly on personal experiences or Miranda's own words, as well as a little secondary research. I don't look like Miranda Kerr, and my advice won't magically cause you to morph into her clone: this blog is about making you look the best you can look, the way Miranda does, and I will also help you imitate your look so that you can look like her as much as you possibly can.
I currently live in the UK, so when I provide direct links to help you purchase things, it may be from a UK- based site, but it's nothing that a quick google search won't fix.
Who is Miranda Kerr?
Miranda Kerr is an Australian Supermodel, trademarked for her gorgeous dimples, and most known as one of the Victoria's Secret Angels, but she has also modelled for other clients such as Roxy, Billabong, Alex Perry, John Richmond, Rock and Republic, Maybelline New York, Clinique, Balenciaga, Prada and Roberto Cavalli. She has also covered many magazines (including Italian Vogue, Cleo ,Elle, Rolling Stone Australia, Glamour, InStyle, Esquire UK, GQ and Marie Claire).
Twelve Facts about Miranda Kerr
1. She was born on the 20th of April, 1983 in Sydney to Therese and John Kerr but was raised in Gunnedah, New South Wales - the countryside, which she said was "very grounding". When she was older she moved to Brisbane so that her and her brother Matthew (two years her junior) could experience city life.
2. She began modelling at aged 13, having won a competition hosted by Dolly Magazine and Impulse fragrances in 1997. Her shoot with Dolly magazine caused controversy due to her young age. Miranda addressed this controversy by saying "Dolly is a magazine for teenage girls, not for old men. And I was fully clothed!" 3. She is signed to IMG models, which has represented models such as Gisele Bundchen, Tyra Banks, Milla Jovovich, Heidi Klum, Irina Shayk, Lara Stone and Cindy Crawford. 4. She has a thing for replacing the biggest models in the industry. She replaced Alessandra Ambrosio as the face of PINK in 2006, she replaced Gisele Bundchen as a Victoria's Secret Angel in 2007 (and in doing so, became the first Australian angel) and most recently, she replaced Kate Moss and the face of Mango for it's spring/summer 2013 campaign.
5. In 2010, a banker at Macquarie Bank named David Kiely in Sydney, Australia was filmed in the background of his colleague's live interview looking at provocative pictures of Miranda, and was suspended from his job. Miranda signed a petition to help him get his job back, saying "I am told there is a petition to save his job, and of course I would sign it." The bank later announced that Kiely could keep his job. Due to the incident, google searches for "Miranda Kerr" doubled. You can watch the colleague's interview to the left (he begins viewing the pictures at around the 1 minute mark). 6. She is frequency featured on "Sexiest Women"'s lists by FHM, Men's Health and AskMen, and was voted "Sexiest Women Alive 2012" by Esquire UK. 7. She practises Nichiren Buddhism, and therefore chants 20 minutes every morning and night and meditates. She also practices yoga, which helps tone her figure as well. 8. She plays classical piano, and enjoys singing and dancing. However, Miranda's grandparent's house was hit by lighting (oddly, at the same time as Miranda was giving birth), which destroyed the grand Piano which had been in her family for generations. 9. She has her own organic skincare range, called KORA Organics, which she credits her flawless complexion to. 10. She has been involved in various charities, including Wildlife Warriors Worldwide and Children International, and she posed nude and chained to a tree on the cover of Rolling Stone Australia to raise awareness for Koala endangerment. 11. In 2007, she began dating Orlando Bloom, who she went on to marry in 2010 in "an intimate ceremony". However, in 2009, the couple were targeted by the infamous burgalar group "the Bling Ring," who broke into Orlando's home (which Miranda was living in) for Miranda's lingerie. They ended up stealing almost $500,000 worth of possessions, including designer clothing, Orlando's Rolex Watch collection, Louis Vuitton Luggage and artwork. The burgalars also drunken urinated in the bushes and vomited outside. Most of the stolen possessions have been reclaimed since the incident. 12. In 2010, she released a self-help book called "Treasure Yourself," aimed at young teenagers to help self esteem. Rarely among celebrities, she did not use a ghostwriter. 13. She planned to study nutrition and health psychology before pursuing modelling, which explains her healthy diet. She said of her healthy diet: "I am a health nut and only do things that are good for my body." Indulgences 14. She has had a little acting experience. She has, as a model, appeared in various commercials, she featured in the music video for 'Number One' by Pharrell and Kanye West and had a minor role on 'How I Met Your Mother' with some of her fellow angels. 15. On the 18th January 2011, Miranda released this post on her blog:

She has described Flynn as being a "little Orlando" in looks, but having her "cheeky personality." During her pregnancy, she became the first pregnant model for Vogue when she shot with Vogue Australia. 16. Her son's full name is Flynn Christopher Blanchard Copeland Bloom. His middle name "Christopher" is dedicated at Miranda's childhood sweetheart, who died in a car accident when they were 15, when they were still dating.
17. In 2011, she was given the honour of wearing the Victoria's Secret Fantasy Bra (joining the likes of Claudia Schiffer, Tyra Banks, Gisele Bundchen and Heidi Klum), a bejewelled bra, custom made for her, worth $2.5 million, which had an 'Underwater' feel to it. She wore it in the 2011 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show (see the video to the left).
18. There are various online rumours about her ethnicity - FHM.com claims that she has Persian, Serbian and Filipino ancestry, but in a 2009 interview Miranda denied having Filipino ancestry, saying "People always say that but I don't know where they get it" and that she's "pretty much just Australian." She did say that in her blood there is a lot of English, Scottish and bit of French.
